The AUTOSORT MC-D range uses a rapid sequence of multi coloured lights to obtain "more than colour" information from the product. Often, even very similar colours can be differentiated, and the infra-red capability improves detection of foreign bodies. The camera information is processed by ultra-fast signal processors and commands are sent to one or more ejectors to remove the unwanted item efficiently.
Having cameras above and below the product, the MC-D72 is specifically configured for efficient sorting of defects showing only from one aspect, be it a side, top or bottom. After being spread on a vibratory feeder, the product accelerates down the chute and is inspected during free fall by the 2048 pixel line-scan cameras. Defects and contaminants are removed by short puffs of air from ejectors positioned close to product flow. This patented configuration of the ejectors ensures very high efficiency and low wastage of good product. Application specific take off chutes ensure gentle handling of fragile product.
